 Henry County Medical Center is an integrated
healthcare delivery system serving Henry
County and the surrounding counties of
Northwest Tennessee. Located near Kentucky
lakes, one of the largest man-made lakes in
the world, the Medical Center is comprised
of the 142-bed acute care hospital, the
174-bed Henry County Nursing Home, Henry
County Home Health and Hospice, the county
Emergency Medical Service, and the off-site
Center for Wellness & Rehabilitation.
The Medical Center supports a medical staff
of 45 in a wide range of specialties,
including: Internal Medicine, Family
Practice, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT,
OB-GYN, Ophthalmology, Urology, Psychiatry,
Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Cardiology,
Pulmonology, Oncology and Podiatry.
Specialty patient care units within the
hospital include pediatric,
maternal/newborn, critical care, outpatient
surgery and psychiatric.
Among the key facilities and services
available at the Medical Center are
state-of-the-art CT and MRI scanners;
comprehensive cancer treatment services,
including radiation therapy and
chemotherapy; in addition to Lake Haven
Psychiatric Center's inpatient services, a
partial hospitalization (or outpatient)
program is offered.
The Medical Center offers excellent
rehabilitation services in physical,
occupational and speech therapies on an
inpatient, outpatient and skilled nursing
facility basis.
The Medical Center offers visiting medical
 staff access to a specialty clinic to see
patients in the local community on a part-time basis. The Richard B. Carothers
Medical Arts Building adjacent to the
hospital houses medical offices for active
medical staff members.
HCMC is one of the largest employers in
Henry County with over 600 employees.
The Medical Center is recognized for its
high quality medical care and is currently
accredited with commendation by the Joint
Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare
Organizations (JCAHO) and is a recipient of
the Tennessee Quality Award.
